About the project

‍​Mizenhead Clothing is an Irish retail company established in 1991 in Cork. It has become a prominent stockist of designer outdoor and streetwear brands, serving as the official franchise partner for VF Corporation's brands in Ireland, including Timberland, The North Face, and Vans.

The company operates a network of retail stores across the country, each offering an extensive and carefully curated selection of high-quality apparel and footwear from some of the world’s most iconic and trusted brands.

Mission

The goal of the Mizenhead website relaunch was to create a modern, user-friendly platform that seamlessly blends storytelling with high-performance functionality. The redesign focused on enhancing the customer experience with a mobile-first, responsive layout and improved e-commerce features like streamlined navigation, advanced filtering, and an optimised checkout process.

The new site is clean, natural and aligned with the Mizenhead identity, while offering a simple and intuitive shopping experience. The UI brings the brand story to life through thoughtful imagery, layout and typography – without compromising on speed or accessibility.Mobile responsiveness was the main priority, ensuring consistency and ease of use across all devices, particularly for mobile users. The design supports key e-commerce features, including intuitive navigation, clear product categories, effective filters and a smooth checkout process, reducing friction and allowing the brand’s personality to shine through.

Solution

The visual outcome presents a sleek, modern and user-friendly platform that seamlessly blends storytelling with high-performance functionality. The design captures the brand’s identity, using natural, muted tones inspired by the Irish coast to evoke a calm, earthy ambiance.

The layout features a clean, minimalist approach, with plenty of white space to maintain focus on the content and products. Typography remains straightforward and easy to read, offering a refined yet inviting feel. Large, high-quality images prominently showcase the brand’s story and highlight the products in their best light.

The site adapts seamlessly across all devices, with a strong focus on mobile users. Navigation remains intuitive, featuring clearly defined categories and advanced filtering tools for effortless browsing. The checkout process simplifies and streamlines the experience, reducing friction and guiding users smoothly to purchase.
