Alnatura is a German organic food company renowned for its commitment to sustainable agriculture and high-quality organic products. Their extensive range includes cereals, dairy alternatives, snacks, and pantry staples, all produced with a focus on environmental responsibility and natural ingredients.
To engage its community in a fun and interactive way, Alnatura, in collaboration with upljft, developed the Müsli-Mixer—an online tool that allowed users to create their own custom granola blends using organic ingredients like grains, fruits and nuts.
The goal was to create a user-friendly, visually striking interface that guides users through the process of mixing their own muesli. The experience is playful yet clean, natural and in line with Alnatura’s organic identity. The interface is a balance between intuitive functionality and a joyful user journey.
The UI presents ingredients in a clear, browsable format with filters and real-time mix visualisation. Key details like nutrition and origin are easily accessible.
The design is responsive across devices and ensures a smooth user flow—from selecting ingredients to finalising the blend—while encouraging exploration and reflecting Alnatura’s values of transparency, creativity and community.
The final visual design of the Alnatura Müsli-Mixer translates the brand’s organic values and playful spirit into a warm, inviting digital experience. The interface is guided by simplicity and natural aesthetics—earthy colour palettes, hand-drawn iconography and soft, rounded UI elements that evoke the feel of wholesome, handmade food.
The core of the experience is an intuitive ingredient selector, where users can explore organic grains, fruits, nuts and extras. Vivid imagery and hover animations encourage tactile interaction, while a live preview updates with each choice, giving users control.
Ingredient details like origin and nutrition are accessible in expandable sections, maintaining a clean, transparent layout. Social features allow users to name, save and share their blends in a “most popular mixes” section to inspire others.
This thoughtful combination of functionality and design creates a playful, personalised journey that deepens user engagement and brings Alnatura’s organic philosophy to life.
